November 1st, 2012
Horween Leather Company was founded in 1905 in Chicago Illinois, they have produced and continue to produce all of their quality leathers in the same location that’s a building complex at 2015 N Elston Ave, Chicago. With a 107 year long legacy, Horween Leather is one of the oldest continuously running tanneries in the United States. Not only that but they have become the epitome producers of cordovan leather, but they also produce a variety of more than 100 leathers.
We are all more familiar with a product that Horween Leather has produced then we may think. One of Horween Leather’s biggest clients so happens to be Wilson. You know! The company that designs sports apparel and gear. Horween has produced that very special pebble grain feel every time you grip and throw a football.
Now Vans is up on deck collaborating with Horween Leather to fuse great quality materials and a classic aesthetic. To create a durable looking boot that really only gets better with time catered bye the finesse of Horween Leather. Complimented by antique bronze eyelets and a lighter embossed heel pull, these great looking uppers sit a top a vulcanized mid sole and commando inspired outsole, providing the necessary wear and traction against the current winter weather.
