MA DAME : Eunice Lee
September 25th, 2012
Fellas is there anything really more attractive than a woman who can really hang with the boys and also go toe to toe with them if need be? I didn’t think so.
You are looking at the face, the being, and the designer behind menswear UNIS. Eunice Lee is well respected in the world of menswear, with very understandable backing and credibility.
Eunice Lee started her brand in 2000, after working for a variety of large brands. She wasn’t much of a fan of the entire corporate experience, “ It makes you feel disposable like a number”. She felt she was never able to really work off of how she felt was right and needed to be done it really left her boxed in creatively. She needed to be free and have control her own destiny. Being able to have her own store was the dream, so she took action.
Eunice Lee has all of her UNIS garments manufactured in only New York and in Los Angles. Makes sense since that is where her boutiques are located. It surely gives her the upper hand and a lot more of that creative control that she desires as well as having a quick response to the needs and wants of her consumers.
UNIS, is built off the principles of understated style met with beautiful fabrics and all-American construction. No gimmicks, no unnecessary hype,no branded logos, no trends behind it. Just simplicity, sophistication, and attention to detail is what really makes UNIS such a great brand. “ I love that a guy can wear head – to – toe UNIS and not look like a walking advertisement”, says Eunice.
Personally what I love about UNIS is everything I just mentioned the simplicity, sophistication and attention to detail. Not only that, but UNIS is one of very few brands that gives such flexibility to a wardrobe. One can live in just UNIS and be able to get by day to day not only in the practical world but in the corporate world as well. UNIS is well crafted and sophisticated enough to feed off a classy aesthetic and can also be worn down and beat up for a day out in the urban city.
